Valentine's Felt Wreath Project

I stumbled across this idea browsing the Valentine's section of The Idea Room. It's a great blog with tons of tutorials. I decided this was a project worth tackling. My primary intention for the wreath was to use it as a prop in a photoshoot with Jonah (which was a huge success- thanks to Emily Rushton)! It looks great on our door as well! :)

All you need is a styrofoam heart wreath, a yard and a half of felt (which you can find at JoAnn's), and a box of straight pins.

Start by tracing the bottom of a coffee cup with a pencil on to the felt (3" circles are the goal), cut out the circles (if you use fabric scissors you should easily be able to cut 4 layers at a time). This part took about 30 minutes.
Then fold one of the circles in half. . .
Fold it in half again. . .
Poke a straight pin through the bottom point . . .
And attach it to the styrofoam wreath.
It really is THAT SIMPLE!
Repeat until the wreath is full and lovely! ;)
